This book is an introduction to the dementias which affect the aged and the aging. Based on the Edgar Cayce readings, it explains and defines the various aspects of dementia and includes references to all of the discourses that mention such disorders.
Directed primarily to the families and support persons dealing with such illnesses, it is nontechnical and seeks to make the Cayce material accessible to those interested in alternatives to traditional medicine. While the book does not offer a cure, it reveals the possibilities contained in the Cayce material for those who are interested in alternatives for the relief of symptoms and the delay of degeneration. The book also contains suggestions for prevention and demographic statistics on the increasing presence of these disorders in our population. Applications for treatment are stressed in the companion book, Principles and Techniques of Nerve Regeneration. |
